Tsuruga is situated at lat. 35°38’ 42.7” N. and long. 136°3’ 19.8” E. If coming by air, get to Komatsu Airport through Narita or Haneda Airport from Tokyo; New Chitose Airport from Hokkaido; Sendai Airport from Tohoku area; Fukuoka Airport from Kyushu area; and Naha Airport from Okinawa. From Komatsu Airport, take a shuttle bus or JR express train. If coming by train, take a shinkansen from Tokyo, Naoya or Osaka, then transfer to a express train at Maibara bound for Tsuruga. Direct express trains to Tsuruga run from Nagoya and Osaka.
